How we got started
Our chef Alba Estenoz first fell in love with the art of pastry making while observing her uncle’s craftsmanship at his pastry shop in Spain. She rediscovered her fascination for the world of pastries as an adult, and she later became a pastry chef at Shoreline Grill in Austin, Texas, where she continued to experiment with making desserts and delighting customers with her craft.
Alba transformed her passion for pastry making into a career that has spanned two decades, including serving as a chef for El Gran Barril in Madrid, the Union League in New Haven, and also Zinc Restaurant in New Haven.
After a broken ankle put her work on hold in the summer of 2019, this downtime gave Alba a chance to create a business plan for opening up her own shop. While the pandemic in 2020 brought our plans to a temporary pause, we are now thrilled to be open for business here in New Haven.

Committed to using sustainable, locally sourced ingredients
What’s the key to making sinfully scrumptious treats? Using high-quality, seasonal ingredients. Working with local farms and businesses has allowed us to hand select the ingredients we use. This not only supports more sustainable business practices, but it helps us prepare delicious, high-quality desserts that you won’t find elsewhere.
